Meta extends FB Reels length to 90 seconds

Facebook users can now post Reels that are up to 90 seconds long.

In a Facebook post, Meta announced that it launched "some new creative expression tools to make it easier to create fun & engaging reels!"

This includes extending the length of Facebook Reels that users can post from 60 seconds to 90 seconds.

Aside from this, there will also be ready-made reels from a user's Memories.

"Easily share your favorite memories on Reels with a tap of a button," Meta said.

The company also added the "Grooves" feature that automatically aligns and syncs the motion of a video to the beat of a song.

There will also be templates available to make it easier for users to create their Reels.

In 2022, Meta launched Reels globally on Facebook.

It was originally a feature only available on Instragram, which intends to challenge TikTok.
