Breaking News: GBox 1.5 now comes with FREE Google Play Store, perfect for HUAWEI users?

GBox (@gbox__lab) on Instagram today announced that the Google Play Store is now available for FREE if you will download the latest version of its app.

Google Play Store for HUAWEI phones?

The latest version of the GBox app is v1.5.0.

Upon checking, you need to download it from their official website as it is not available on HUAWEI's own app store yet—the AppGallery.

How to install GBox with Google Play?

1. Download the app at their official website here

2. Install the app and follow the on-screen instructions

3. Allow "ignore battery optimization"

4. Sign in to your Google account

Note: If it will fail, try to delete the GBox app and reinstall it. That's what I did.

BPI app is now working on HUAWEI thanks to GBox with Play Store

After doing all those steps, we immediately tried it on the new HUAWEI nova 11 and tried the BPI banking app. Except for its web version, it is one of the few apps that we can't access on HUAWEI phones.

To recap, GBox is one of the popular workarounds for HUAWEI users who need to access Google apps on their phones. It claims to be a safe way for HUAWEI users to enjoy those apps with no ads, unlike other apps like GSpace and Dual Space.

GBox also promises that it will never collect any personal data to ensure data security and privacy.

Other features of the app include privacy protection and the capability to run multiple copies of a certain app.
