At first glance, the phone looks eye-catching because of its bright green color with dual textures. Upon holding the phone, it feels lighter than its size would suggest.

The frame is solid polycarbonate, while the front panel is glass. The dual-texture rear design glimmers differently depending on how the light hits it.

Solid, lightweight, and premium feeling

It is IP64 water and dust resistance rated, meaning that the product is resistant to most particles and water splashes. It should not be immersed for extended periods.

It measures 171.56 x 79.47 x 7.99 mm and weighs 205 grams.

Quick thoughts

Xiaomi's HyperOS 2.0
Xiaomi's HyperOS 2.0

At its starting price of PHP 5,499, there is little to complain about.

The screen is massive and bright, but it has asymmetrical bezels, while the body is made of glass and polycarbonate.

It comes with the immortal 12nm Helio G81-Ultra octa-core processor, 6GB/8GB LPDDR4X RAM, and 128GB/256GB eMMC 5.1 storage.

It scored a respectable 273K in AnTuTu as well.

Inside is a large 6,000mAh battery, but the phone is surprisingly lightweight.

At the back is the 50MP rear main camera, and on the notch is the selfie camera.

Overall, we find the features competitive, but the real surprise was how bright and vibrant the screen is despite its 720 resolution on a 6.9-inch LCD panel, and how crisp and sharp the rear and selfie cameras were.

We will also be taking more photos with the phone and running our usual battery of tests.

What do you guys think?
