DJI RS5 launched in PH: Compact Aluminum Build, 14 hour runtine, and starts at PHP 26,390

DJI has officially launched the RS5 lightweight gimbal stabilizer in the Philippines.

Mid-range gimbal with flagship-like performance?

The new DJI RS5 boasts a compact aluminum alloy build weighing 1.46kg (vs 1.4kg of the RS4) with Teflon-coated tuning knobs. These controls price axis adjustments, including the new Z-Axis Indicator for real-time feedback to reduce footsteps and deliver steadier walking shots.

It features DJI's second-generation automated axis locks that engage automatically on power-off or sleep mode and unlock instantly on startup for rapid deployment. It features the BG33 grip with a modular detachable battery design. It has expansion ports (for RSA, NATO, and charging) that support seamless accessory integration, such as focus motors.

The new gimbal can carry up to 3kg of payload.

DJI is boasting that it is powered by a new 5th-generation stabilization algorithm with 50 percent higher peak motor torque, excelling at fast movements and vertical orientations. It includes a 1.8-inch OLED touch screen for intuitive Bluetooth zoom/shutter control. 

The BG33 grip's modular battery is rated for up to 14 hours of run time, and with a 65W Power Delivery charger, it charges the battery to full in 1 hour. The optional BG70 grip extends this to 30 hours.

It now supports the RS Enhanced Intelligent Tracking Module, which magnetically mounts and streams a live camera feed on the touchscreen for tap-to-track subjects like people, vehicles, pets, or objects from up to 10 meters, with automatic reacquisition. 

It's third-generation native vertical shooting mode supposedly optimizes social media workflows, while the new electronic detachable briefcase handle enables single-handed low-angle control with the integrated joystick.

When compared to the previous generation, the RS5 has expanded tracking to multi-subject types (such as vehicles and pets) with the touch screen selection instead of basic gestures.

The Standard Edition comes with the gimbal, BG33 battery grip, quick-release plates, tripod, and control cable. While the Combo Kit adds the RS Enhanced Intelligent Tracking Module, Electronic Briefcase handle, and carrying case.

It is now available in the Philippines through authorized DJI distributors nationwide.
