Infinix XOS 16 launched with improved AI productivity, gaming, and battery management

Infinix has unveiled its new custom UI—XOS 16, based on Android 16.

The update focuses on a refreshed visual design, expanded personalization, and a significant emphasis on new artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.

The features

The new visual theme, called Glow-space, is accompanied by updated system animations described as faster and smoother. Personalization options include new system icons, wallpapers, lock screen customizations, and themes, as well as an optional depth effect for the lock and home screens. An AI theme generator allows users to create themes from text or image inputs.

Adds more creativity on your screen

AI features form a core part of the update. The Folax assistant is integrated throughout, with new functions including AI Note for refining sketches, AI Recording Summary for automated transcripts and summaries, and Flash Memo for capturing and tagging on-screen information.

Better AI

The update also introduces an AI Call Assistant, providing real-time translation, call summaries, and an auto-answer function. A separate suite of AI tools is aimed at students, offering features for translation, document scanning, writing assistance, and problem-solving.

Camera-specific AI upgrades include a native object eraser and an image extension tool. For gaming, XOS 16 adds system-level performance toggles, bypass charging, frame interpolation for graphics, and an enhanced Magic Voice Changer 2.0.

XOS 16 will come pre-installed on future Infinix smartphones and is scheduled to be released for current and older models at a later date.
