The brand recently released a teaser video giving fans a quick sneak peek at the upcoming global release of the OPPO Reno16 Series, with the logo of K-pop girl group BABYMONSTER prominently shown.
While OPPO has yet to fully reveal the details of the partnership, the teaser points to BABYMONSTER possibly becoming the new faces or brand ambassadors of the Reno16 Series.
This move fits OPPO's usual strategy for the Reno lineup, which is often marketed towards younger users who love stylish designs, cameras, portraits, and social media-ready content. Various markets posted the said teaser, which suggests that the BABYMONSTER campaign is likely to be a global effort for OPPO.
A growing lineup of K-Pop ambassadors for OPPO
OPPO is no stranger to working with K-pop acts and artists to promote its smartphones. In recent years, YUQI of i-dle has been seen as one of the familiar faces of OPPO's Reno campaigns, including recent Reno generations such as the Reno13, Reno14, and Reno15, as well as the
Reno16 Series in China.

OPPO has also worked with other K-pop names like BSS, the SEVENTEEN sub-unit composed of Seungkwan, DK, and Hoshi, for the Reno11 F and Reno12 series campaigns.
With BABYMONSTER now being teased, OPPO seems ready to continue that K-pop push with one of today’s most talked-about girl groups.
As of the moment
Details such as the official launch date, pricing, local availability, and possible BABYMONSTER-themed promos for the OPPO Reno16 Series in the Philippines have yet to be announced.
