Next-gen Reno16 Series will arrive soon in PH

To start, the series comprises 3 devices: the OPPO Reno16, the 16 Pro, and the FS model

If you recall, the base model Reno 16 features a 6.32-inch Crystal Guard-protected 1.5K AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 2.6GHz 4nm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 octa-core processor with an Adreno GPU, 8GB/12GB LPDDR5X RAM, 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, a 6,700mAh battery + 80W SUPERVOOC charging.

In the camera department, it uses a 50MP f/1.8 main sensor with AF and OIS + 50MP f/2.0 ultra-wide + 50MP f/2.8 3.5x telephoto camera.

Meanwhile, the OPPO Reno 16 Pro uses a similar display, but the refresh rate is upgraded to 144Hz. Its chip is also stronger, with the 4nm Dimensity 8550 SUPER octa-core processor with Mali-G720 MC8 GPU. It is also paired with a 6,700mAh battery along with an 80W USB-C SUPERVOOC charger.

Camera features are a 200MP f/1.8 main sensor with AF, 2-axis OIS, and a 50MP ultra-wide + 50MP 3.5x telephoto camera.

Both versions also sport a 50MP selfie camera with a 100-degree angle and autofocus.

The third model, the OPPO Reno16 FS, comes with a slightly larger 6.57-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Inside is a 4nm Dimensity 7300 Energy octa-core processor with a Mali-G615 MC2 GPU, 8GB RAM, and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. 

The battery is supported with a 6,500mAh capacity + 45W SUPERVOOC charging.

Camera-wise, it uses a 50MP main sensor with OIS + 8MP ultra-wide snapper + 50MP telephoto shooter.

All three devices are compatible with the OPPO Bubble Mag E-Badge. This is an accessory that lets users experience a secondary screen wirelessly and can act as a tool for selfies using the Reno16 Series main camera.


Additionally, it has up to 10 meters of remote camera control, can be used as a trendy OOTD, and has customized cute interactive pets.

Finally, the accessory has a 550mAh battery for longer usage and has seamless connectivity with ColorOS-powered devices.

For now, OPPO hasn't mentioned a clear date yet for the Reno16 Series, but they are officially confirmed to arrive in the Philippines soon.

  1. The Reno16 lineup looks like a solid upgrade, especially the Pro model with its 200MP camera and larger battery. I'm curious to see the official Philippine pricing before deciding if it's worth the jump.
