The Samsung Galaxy A series is the replacement of the Galaxy J series, Korean tech giant's budget to mid-range phone line.

Samsung Galaxy A10, A20, and A20e

For the budget-level smartphones, the company released the Samsung Galaxy A10, Galaxy A20 and A20e.

The Samsung Galaxy A10 has a 6.2-inch HD+ IPS Infinity-V screen, Exynos 7884 prcoessor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB expandable storage amd 3,400mAh. It also has a 13MP main camera and a 5MP selfie camera. In addition, it has 4G LTE and loads up with Android 9.0 with One UI. It retails for PHP 6,990.

The Samsung Galaxy A20 comes with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-V screen, Exynos 7884 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB expandable storage, 4,000mAh battery with 15W fast charge, 4G LTE and Android 9.0 Pie with One UI.

It also has a dual rear camera setup with 13MP + 5MP sensors and an 8MP selfie camera. It is priced at PHP 9,990.

There is also a smaller version of the A20 with the Samsung Galaxy A20e. It has a smaller 5.8-inch Infinity-V HD+ screen. It has the same internal specs except for the smaller 3,000mAh but it retains the 15W fast charge tech. Even with smaller body, it still has dual cameras and a selfie camera. Price and availability is not yet announced though.

For the mid-range market, Samsung have the Galaxy A30, A40 and A50.

Samsung Galaxy A30 features a 6.4-inch FHD+ Infinity-U Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080. Inside, it has an Exynos 7904 octa-core processor, Mali-G71 MP2 GPU. 3GB/4GB RAM with 32GB/64Gb expandable storage and a 4,000mAh battery with fast charging support.

It also has dual cameras with 16MP f/1.7 + 5MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera setup with LED flash. For selfies, it has a 16MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture lens. It also loads up with Android 9.0 Pie with One UI, 3.5mm audio jack, NFC, USB-C and dual 4G VoLTE. It is priced at PHP 13,990.

Next is the Samsung Galaxy A40 with a smaller 5.9-inch Super AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and the Infinity-U notch. Inside it has the 2.2GHz 64-bit Exynos 7885 octa-core processor with Mali-G72 MP2 GPU for gaming, 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage and a 3,100mAh battery.

For cameras, it has dual camera sensors at the back with 16MP + 5MP sensors. It also has a huge 25MP selfie sensor. It is expected to be priced around the PHP 15K range.

Samsung Galaxy A50 features a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen, 2.3GHz 64-bit Exynos 9610 octa-core processor, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, and 4,000mAh with 15W fast charging. For cameras, it has a triple rear camera setup with 25MP + 8MP ultra-wide lens + 5MP depth sensor. For selfies it has a 25MP f/2.0 sensor.

It is priced at PHP 17,990.

Here are the top-of-the-line devices of the lineup as of now, Galaxy A70 and Galaxy A80.

The Samsung Galaxy A70 has a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 675 processor, Adreno 512 GPU, 6GB RAM, 128GB expandable storage, and a 4,500mAh battery with 25W Super Fast Charging.

It also has a triple rear camera setup with a 32MP + 8MP ultra wide lens + 5MP depth sensor. It has a 32MP selfie camera as well. It also has an In-Display fingerprint sensor too.

The Samsung Galaxy A80 has a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen as well. It has a more powerful Snapdragon 710 processor, Adreno 618 GPU, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage and a 3,700mAh battery with 25W Super Fast Charging.

For cameras, it has a triple rear camera setup too. It has 48MP + 8MP ultra-wide angle lens + 3D ToF depth sensor. It has a new pop-up mechanism that allows the rear cameras to rotate and serve as the selfie sensors as well.

The Galaxy A40s and A60 was recently launched in China. The Samsung Galaxy A40s has a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity U screen with FHD+ 2340 x 1080 resolution. Inside, it has the Exynos 7904 octa-core processor, Mali-G71 GPU, 4/6GB of RAM, 128GB expandable storage and a huge 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging tech.


It also comes with a 13MP f/1.9 primary sensor + 5MP f/2.2 ultra-wide angle lens, 5MP f/2.2 depth camera at the back. For selfies, it has a 16MP f/2.0 sensor


The Samsung Galaxy A60 has a 6.3-inch punch hole Infinity-O display with a 91.8 percent screen-to-body ratio and a 4.69mm hole diameter. Inside it runs 11nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor Kryo 460 cores and Adreno 612 GPU. It also comes with 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, and 3,500mAh battery with 15W fast charger.


For cameras, it has a 32MP f/1.7 main camera, 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP f/2.2 sensor.


There you go! Samsung has a total of 10 new Galaxy A smartphones. So far, it is shaping up as a formidable lineup.
