The strongest performance of the company yet

Huawei consumer business group's smartphone product line president He Gang revealed that the company achieved that feat in just 149 days, its fastest yet. In comparison, Huawei shipped the same number of phones in 198 days in 2018. In 2015, Huawei needed 355 days to reach the 100 million mark.

It suggests that Huawei, the world's number 2 phone maker, is on a solid rise. Probably, it could also be on its way of dethroning Samsung in the top spot.

Likely, the success is due to the company's strong product line which highlights the innovative Leica-powered Huawei P30 Pro.

However, this happened before the May 17 ban on Huawei by US's Department of Commerce.

Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei recently said that the ban could cost the company 30 billion in revenue this year. The company's smartphone sales outside China also dropped by 40 percent last month.

The ban could derail the company's ambition of topping Samsung as some users feared that Huawei's might not have an access to Google anymore.

Yesterday, Huawei debunked all the rumors surrounding the ban. In PH, its retailers will give 100 percent refund if the apps won't work.
