Bye in-box chargers?

The possible move is similar to the Apple rumor that the next iPhone will not ship with the charger and EarPods.

Samsung hasn't confirmed or commented on the issue yet. But, one possible reason for this rumored move is to keep the cost down as smartphone prices have skyrocketed in the past decade due to higher hardware prices. This year, smartphone prices have further increased to support 5G mobile communication.

If true, millions of its users might not be happy with this move. A lot may argue that this just a money-making move.

Unlike other phone makers who ship the fastest charger for their phones, Samsung only loaded the 45W-ready Galaxy S20 Ultra with a 25W slower charger.

To enjoy the full 45W charge experience, Galaxy S20 Ultra users need to shell out PHP 2,299 to purchase the proprietary 45W Travel Adapter.

It is interesting to see how the world will respond to these new Samsung and Apple rumors.

How about you? Are you ready to buy a smartphone without an in-box charger?
