Rumors: Samsung's new Exynos 2200 failed to breach the 1 million mark at AnTuTu

Based on recent reports, the chip achieved an AnTuTu score of 965,874. This is a strong improvement over the 600 to 700K scores of the previous Exynos flagship chip. But, this is a few thousand lower than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 found on the Motorola Edge X30. Previous reports are also claiming that MediaTek's new Dimensity 9000 also scored over 1 million at the said benchmark app.

At Geekbench, the chip scored  1108 in Single-Core and 3516 in the Multi-Core tests. The device also achieved a score of 109 fps in GFXbench Aztec ruins normal test. These scores are lower than the previous SD888 flagship chip.

The scores are a bit concerning, but note that these may not be the final scores of Samsung's new chip as the company has yet to reveal a device that will be powered by it. Also, despite the strong track record of the leaker, there are no screenshots provided as well.

To recap, 4nm EUV lithography processing technology as well as ARMv9-based 1x Cortex-X2 core optimized for maximum performance, 3x Cortex-A710 cores for balance processing power, and 4x Cortex-A510 cores for better overall efficiency. It also has the new Xclipse 920 GPU based on the AMD RDNA architecture that features support for hardware-accelerated ray tracing.

The first device that is expected to be powered by the new chip is the upcoming Galaxy S22 Ultra.
