EA terminates two mobile titles!

To recall, the APEX Legends Mobile was launched back in March 2022, it was originally a PC and Console title with multiplayer sci-fi FPS mechanics. However, the game is going to meet its end after only 8 months. Specifically, there are still 90 days more for you to play it.

Respawn studios, EA's partner for the game said the announcement on its Twitter and noted that despite the game having a "strong start" the content pipeline" had started to "fall short" of the studio's standards for quality and quantity.

Although disappointing, we are proud of the game we launched, we are grateful for the support of the Apex Legends community, and are confident that this is the right decision for players, said Respawn on their website

Alongside that, the developers are also shutting down the Mobile version's real-money in-game store and removing the said title on all digital stores. While the game will remain fully playable for the next 3 months, EA and Respawn won't be providing any refunds for in-game purchases made during its eight-month lifespan.

It's also worth noting that the shutdown is specifically for the mobile version only and that the other platforms will remain unharmed.

In a separate EA news, the firm is also canceling its supposedly upcoming Battlefield Mobile for the reason of " the industry has evolved". The developer's plans have changed and instead will pivot from its current position in order to best deliver its visions for the franchise.

The firm continued that Battlefield 2042, the most recent game in the series, was still being worked on and that the following Battlefield game was already in pre-production.
