realme teases an upcoming smartphone that will feature a periscope sensor.
If you go to the realme India X social media page, you will see a teaser photo with the caption "No Periscope. No Flagship".
It seems that realme is preparing something to surprise its fans with its upcoming device. Earlier this year realme announced the GT 5 Pro as its first device with a periscope lens but is exclusive in China. Meanwhile, the brand also hinted at an international release for this device.
However, there may be a possibility that we can see a mid-range phone feature this as well.
While the phone maker didn't mention a name, rumor points all the directions to the realme 12 Pro+. The said upcoming device is reportedly equipped with an OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
In case you don't know, this type of sensor is present in some premium mid-range and high-end phones like the OnePlus 12, iQOO 12 series, and vivo X100.
Other rumors suggest that we may see the upcoming realme 12 Pro+ equipped with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3.
Now which phone are we going to see? Currently, there's no listing of the GT 5 Pro on India's BIS certification database. On the other hand, there are model numbers RMX3840 and RMX3842 found on the database and these are reportedly known as the realme 12 Pro series.
As of the moment, please take this with a grain of salt, and let's all wait for the official announcement which is likely just around the corner.
What do you guys think?
