Smart's 5G network is now available in over 2,600 sites nationwide
A few weeks after announcing that its 5G network is now available in 2,340 sites nationwide, Smart today shared that it has expanded it to over 2,600 sites.

Now in more than 2,600 sites!
Smart shared that its 5G outdoor coverage availability in the National Capital Region (NCR) is now up to more than 90 percent. Smart 5G sites have been fired up in the provinces of Benguet, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Pampanga, Rizal, Cebu, Iloilo, Aklan, Misamis Oriental, Zamboanga Sibugay, and Davao.

The company also boasts that based on consumer-initiated tests taken using Ookla, Smart has consistently posted the fastest 5G speeds for Q1 2021 with median download speeds of 190 Mbps that is more than double of the competition for the same period.

To help its subscribers enjoy 5G better, Smart recently launched the UNLI 5G DATA promo for areas with 5G connectivity. It is initially available at strategic urban centers, including Metro Manila, Angeles City, Baguio City, Cavite City, Cebu City, Clark City, and Davao City with additional data for non-5G use so subscribers can stay connected even when they move from a 5G-covered area to a non-5G-covered site. The promo starts at PHP 299 for 7 days.
To support this 5G rollout has also widened its array of Smart 5G-certified devices. Recently, the company also launched the Rocket WiFi, the first 5G pocket WiFi in the country.
